A holistic education includes plenty of time for sports and physical activity. At the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad, students enjoy dynamic sports sessions in exceptional facilities, promoting teamwork, fitness and fun.
Explore Sports at AKA Hyderabad
Students have the chance to try many sports, both competitive and non-competitive. They might train in athletics, learn dance or a martial art or join a sports team. In later years they are able to focus on developing expertise in a few areas, taking on leadership and coaching responsibilities.
AKA Hyderabad’s campus features swimming and diving pools, a gym and facilities for basketball, cricket, tennis, squash, hockey, athletics and running.
Students can play football in any of our three state-of-the-art football fields.
Cricket at the Academy builds skill, teamwork and resilience.
Students interested in swimming have access to a competition-sized swimming and diving pool.
The Academy offers a modern, well-equipped basketball court that inspires skill and teamwork.
Our volleyball court enables students to practise, compete and develop new skills.
Sports competitions between the four Houses fosters teamwork, school spirit and healthy, constructive competition.

Diving Into Growth and Leadership
“When I first joined the Academy, I never envisioned myself competing in any sports. My journey in sports at the Academy began in Grade 3 when I joined the track and field team. At the start, I doubted my capabilities, but with my teacher's constant support and encouragement, I started to believe in myself.
Soon after, I discovered my passion for swimming. As I started to practise swimming during physical education classes in the Junior School, I became faster and joined the school’s swim team.
Over the years, as I developed as an athlete, I also strengthened my leadership skills as I eventually became the swim team captain. Being a captain taught me how to stay organised and effectively communicate, skills that I will carry throughout my life.”
